The "Drop-In" Counselling Service
You do not need an appointment to come to the Drop-In, as people are seen in turn as they arrive, each session lasts about half an hour and there is a minimum charge of £5.00
The Drop-In Counselling Service is run by fully qualified counsellors who work as volunteers, it operates on the following days:
Tuesdays 1.00 - 2.30 pm
Tuesdays 5.00 - 6.30 pm
Fridays 9.30 - 11.00 am
The aim of the Drop-In is to introduce you to counselling so that you can see if it will suit your needs. Drop-In counselling sessions are completely private and confidential.
A Note to Parents
A counselling session is a time for you to explore your feelings and concerns without any distractions. For this reason we would strongly suggest that you do not bring your child/ children with you into the counselling room.We regret that Welcomers in the reception area are unable to look after unaccompanied children. Our reception is often very busy and, with the best will in the world, Welcomers cannot be expected to be responsible for them.If you are coming for counselling, we ask that you either:
- Make sure you have child care in place at home; or
- Bring a responsible adult with you who can look after your child in the reception area.
