If you are planning to visit the counselling centre outside of these times or have any concerns about gaining access please call us and we can ensure you are given the assistance you require.
We have a buzzer system for security purposes to gain entry to our offices however we understand that people with a hearing impediment may experience difficulties. Therefore; we recomend if it is your first visit to us you access through the main entrance to the Chruch or alternatively you can contact us beforehand to make us aware of your needs and we will ensure you get the assistance you require
We are very aware that our full accessibility is limited however we endeavour to ensure all visitors are made to feel welcome and valued; once anyone is given an appointment with a counsellor he or she will be able to enusre your needs are accommodated for your next visit.
We have funds to provide and interpeter should you feel you would benefit from one, this extends to people who use BSL or another form of sign language.
A Note to Parents
A counselling session is a time for you to explore your feelings and concerns without any distractions. For this reason we would strongly suggest that you do not bring your child/ children with you into the counselling room.We regret that Welcomers in the reception area are unable to look after unaccompanied children. Our reception is often very busy and, with the best will in the world, Welcomers cannot be expected to be responsible for them.If you are coming for counselling, we ask that you either:
- Make sure you have child care in place at home; or
- Bring a responsible adult with you who can look after your child in the reception area.
